8/25/2023 0 Comments Adventure time ice queen agePity that he overestimates his own ability in this area. Improbable Aiming Skills: With paper airplanes.Especially after the events of "Slumber Party Panic". I Gave My Word: Finn basically lives by this.As shown in "The New Frontier", Finn occasionally forgets how the sun works, and is seemingly floored when Jake re-explains it to him.Which makes it that much more interesting when his brain works perfectly, like in "Morituri Te Salutamus".He rarely if ever dwells on such things, however. In particular, he may hide a desire for civilized life, as well as trauma stemming from his Parental Abandonment. Hidden Depths: Lightly hinted at a few times.Heroic Willpower: Goes hand-in-hand with his many Determinator feats. In "Hot to the Touch", when he realizes he can neither fight or hurt his new crush the Flame Princess, nor allow her to destroy the goblin kingdom, he curls up and cries, right before briefly passing out.Twice, the second time he's actually watching what the apples do to a person. It's bad enough that he actually tries to eat the apples. Spends half of "Dad's Dungeon" like this because he thought Jake and Joshua turned against him.Heroic BSOD: He goes through a (hilariously brief) one every time somebody reminds him that he's almost certainly the last human.Heroes Prefer Swords: Though he uses Good Old Fisticuffs much more and an ax at least once.Heartbroken Badass: His love life hasn't exactly been kind to him.The Heart: He's the only one who can get Bubblegum and Marceline to stick together in "What Was Missing", it's clear that their attempt to get through the Door Lord's door would have fallen apart fairly easily without his influence.Hair of Gold: Although his hair color was only Word of God, it's since been seen. Was also smart enough to invoke Unspoken Plan Guarantee by not telling even Jake about his overall plan to trick the Fight King into giving him his Soul Jar so he could destroy it.Genre Savvy: To the point of predicting every single part of the Fight King's trap after nothing more than a few lines from him in "Morituri Te Salutamus".Freudian Excuse: Finn helps people because of a traumatic experience as a baby. There are also prominent tree houses in both stories. Both show more emotional complexity than those around them, but nevertheless feel at home in a world not their own. Both are Token Humans living in a strange world, Raised by Wolves to develop Charles Atlas Superpowers. What's disturbing is that he does it so casually. Easy Amnesia/ Laser-Guided Amnesia: Finn can put frightening memories in his "vault".In the series proper, he soldiers past numerous injuries, breaks out of the Lich's mind control, literally ignores two broken legs to save the day(s). Finn is told to believe in himself in order to escape his prison of ice Finn refuses but then breaks out through sheer willpower. Determinator: His very first appearance has an amusing double-subversion.Finn develops a crush on her after she attacks him. Dating Catwoman: Flame Princess is quickly revealed to be evil.Creepy Child: From snuggling a piece of Princess Bubblegum's hair to watching Jake sleep and taking pictures, Finn can be a disturbing child at times. He gets extremely jealous when someone comes in the way of him and Princess Bubblegum or Jake. Crazy Jealous Guy: Oh, so freaking much.As of "Dad's Dungeon", he gets a sword made out of demon's blood. The second has an interesting, woody handle and has an Absurdly Sharp Blade. Cool Sword: His first one has a blade of gold.
